Sports Massage Level 3

Broaden your career options and learn a new skill in Sports Massage. Successful completion of this qualification enables you to become insured and offer Sports Massage to the general public.

Content

This is a fully accredited and nationally recognised qualification awarded by Active IQ. 

​

The aim of the Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to be able to provide sports massage to a range of clients who have dysfunctional tissue, without acute/post acute injuries or underlying pathological conditions (topics covered in Level 4).

 

The course comprises of 5 units:

  • Anatomy & Physiology for Sports Massage

  • Principles of Exercise, Fitness & Health

  • Soft Tissue Dysfunction

  • Professional Practice

  • Sports Massage Techniques

Fees

£1250 total.

A deposit of £200 is payable (see below) to secure your place.

​

The balance must be paid in full before the first teaching weekend.

​

Sports Massage Level 4

Develop your Sports Massage skills with our Level 4 Certificate. The course will help you to enhance your clinical assessment, learn special tests and functional screening as well as teaching you rehabilitation principles. 

Skills will be developed to include treating clients with acute/post acute injuries or underlying pathological conditions

(Applicants must already hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent.)

Content

This is a fully accredited and nationally recognised qualification awarded by Active IQ.

The aim of the Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy qualification is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to treat and/or seek to correct common patterns of dysfunction and pre-diagnosed injuries.

​

The course comprises of 3 units:

  • Assessment

  • Techniques

  • Supporting repair

​

By the end of the course, learners will have the skills and knowledge to be able to:

  • Understand the clinical procedures for client assessment and treatment planning.

  • Conduct objective physical assessments.

  • Understand the purpose of neuromuscular and tissue mobilisation techniques in sports massage andthe skills to be able to apply effective neuromuscular and tissue mobilisation techniques.

  • Utilise soft tissue techniques appropriate to specific clients.

  • Understand treatment modalities to support soft tissue repair.
